We’d like to mark Food Day, Saturday July 31st, with a huge thank you!

Sometimes we can so caught up in cooking banquet dinners and organizing the decorations or volunteer positions that we can forget the reason that we even celebrate Easter. This blog entry is my opportunity to remind us that Easter is much more than Easter eggs and bunny rabbits.

About 5 years ago some of the staff at Kelowna’s Gospel Mission formed a social committee. The idea of the social committee was to get together with the staff to do some fun events and also to put on some small fund raisers for various projects around the Mission.

So what’s the deal with the smiling pile of rocks used as the logo for the Vancouver games?
