 KGM is searching for an Operations Coordinator – Truck Driver to join our rapidly growing team. The successful candidate will support donor relations through relationship and trust building, providing excellent guest services experiences. Most of your time will be spent executing deliveries and pickups, with time each week dedicated to processing donated items through receiving to the Thrift Store floor. 

Key Responsibilities  

  • Working as a driver on a 1-ton cube truck for the purpose of picking up and delivering goods; 
  • Be personable and able to relate to donors and show genuine interest in donors’ interests; 
  • Respond to inquiries and requests from donors, clients, guests, and community partners in a knowledgeable and professional manner. 
  • Collect donations from residential or commercial donors 
  • Maintain accurate inventory and are tagged appropriately for check out; 
  • Continue to seek out and enhance the relationship between the organization and the donors 
  • Following itinerary, keeping track of paperwork and managing inventories 
  • Deposit cash safely at KGM’s head office to the Finance Department  
  • Answer On-Site Donations door to receive donations from guests, assisting guests with moving/unloading product when necessary; 
  • Responsible for pickup and delivery of donations and warehouse operations; 
  • Provide volunteers with support and a safe environment while ensuring they can work effectively; 
  • Model KGM values of Compassion, Integrity, Respect, Grace-led, & Transformation; 
  • Maintain an excellent relationship with all residents, volunteers, and employees by building bridges of friendship wherever possible while being observant of the Policy and Procedures of KGM; 
  • Perform other related duties as required. 

Position Requirements 

  • Experience driving a 1-ton Cube van or bigger 
  • Valid BC Driver’s Licence along with a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract 
  • Able to work with a variety of people with professionalism and respect in a team environment 
  • Self-motivated and willing to take initiative, while also responding to the direction of management 
  • Comfortability in a physically demanding role including standing for long periods of time, repetitive tasks/movements and lifting heavy objects up to 150 lbs 
  • High degree of comfort in a fast-paced environment, ability to multi-task and prioritize coupled with excellent judgement and conflict resolution skills; 
  • A successful criminal record and vulnerable sector check will be required prior to the start of employment
